چکیده

Equipping paraprofessionals to implement evidence-based instructional practices with fidelity can enhance the education of students visual impairments. We used a multiple probe across participants design evaluate ability follow constant time delay procedures high when teaching braille words. delivered performance feedback by e-mail and examined student learning outcomes. All three achieved 100% correct implementation maintained this level over time. successfully learned targeted The combination training support was effective at equipping them deliver an practice. Paraprofessionals affirmed social validity intervention considered as easy-to-understand way receiving much-needed guidance. E-mail is cost-effective simple tool for providing constructive feedback, while also ensuring instruction fidelity.

Constant Time Delay and Interspersal of Known Items to Teach Sight Words to Students with Mental Retardation and Learning Disabilities

This study compared efficacy and efficiency of constant time delay and interspersal of known items to teach sight words to students with mild mental retardation and learning disabilities. Procedures were counterbalanced across time of day and instructional groups in a parallel treatments design. For students with mild mental retardation, constant time delay was more effective and efficient base...

Using a modified constant prompt-delay procedure to teach spelling to students with physical disabilities.

Current research suggests that constant delay is an effective means of teaching students through near-errorless learning. The current study examined how procedures used in previous research may be modified so that constant delay can be implemented with students who have physical disabilities that prevent them from engaging in fluent academic responding. A multiple baseline design with probes wa...

Feedback Channels: Using Social Presence Theory to Compare Voice Mail to E-mail

This study compared the effects of using voice mail files sent as electronic mail (e-mail) attachments versus text-based e-mail to provide student feedback. Social Presence Theory (SPT) was used as the theoretical framework for assessing the two modes of delivering feedback. SPT would predict that voice mail would be perceived as higher than e-mail in terms of social presence. In accordance wit...

Using Video Prompting and Constant Time Delay to Teach an Internet Search Basic Skill to Students with Intellectual Disabilities

We evaluated a video prompting and a constant time delay procedure for teaching three primary school students with moderate intellectual disabilities to access the Internet and download pictures related to participation in a classroom History project. Video clips were used as an antecedent prompt and as an error correction technique within a constant time delay (CTD) procedure. Training, using ...

Hybrid Time Delay Petri Nets as a Mathematical Novel Tool to Model Dynamic System with Current Sample Time

The existing modeling methods using Petri Nets‎, ‎have been successfully applied to model and analyze dynamic systems‎. ‎However‎, ‎these methods are not capable of modeling all dynamic systems such as systems with the current sample time signals‎, ‎systems including various subsystems and multi-mode systems‎. ‎This paper proposes Hybrid Time Delay Petri Nets (HTDPN) to solve the problem‎. ‎In ...
